Darling notes from the Auckland Zoo. While the animals were hiding, I was thinking.

When the animals are hiding in a zoo. What other stuff there is to see?

I have to admit I hate zoos.

But I went to one. Mostly for the kids, basically only for the kids. I guess persevering the endangered animals in zoos’s is a good thing. Kind of the only place where they can survive these days. So for that I applaud the zoo.

So says the molded crocodile..

It’s just that the animals look so caged up in there. Always. That look in their eyes. I don’t feel comfortable in a place such as a zoo. There is a certain sadness in the air.

The lost freedom.

A penny for your thoughts pussy cat.

It was a beautiful winters day. Most of the animals were hiding so I took some photos of other stuff instead.

Here are some other things one can see in a zoo.

A beautiful banana tree. Just without the bananas..

The light was absolutely stunning. It felt like spring that day.

” If you take away man’s freedom to roam, what there is left for him to be?”

If the animal has a spirit without boundaries, how can it survive being gaged?

That day spent wandering and watching I realised how easily the need to control things comes from us humans.

To cultivate freedom within is a real challenge. Whether it is in the way we love or in the way we see the world around us.

Love Love Love. That bittersweet thing we so need.

Happy sunday lovelies! Just chill and love✌🏽💕 Thank you for reading.
