Baby it’s cold outside.

What I wore this week.

It’s winter, we all know what thats like. But this year I have come to learn what the winter is like in New Zealand. And I think it’s different for what I am used to before.

Here’s why:

The temperature does not drop below minus outside ( in the North Island ).

It’s raining water. Not snow. It’s cold but sunny.

Inside is colder than outside. Winter coats are worn inside, not outside.

You feel under or over dressed all the time. Uggs or flats- both go and no socks necessary. After all we are in the capital of jandal-land.

You can still dip into the ocean for a swim in a sunny day. But dont let any kiwis see you doing that.

Ice-cream can be still eaten but only if the sun is out. Otherwise why would you eat ice-cream in the winter?

🤣🤣🤣

I am surviving my first winter down under and loving it. I think what makes it all better are the people♥️ and a good cup of coffee!

Hope you enjoyed the read. Stay warm!

Tea

We live in Helsinki, but we have lived in many places in Finland, like in Helsinki, Vantaa, Nurmijärvi and Mikkeli. Now we are in Oulu, where we had small apartment, which sold and move this week back to Helsinki.

I have only one Jyväskylä post:

        Midsummer cruise

        From Turku these three:

Tall Ships Races in Turku, Finland

        Catedral of Turku

        Luostarinmäki Handicrafts Museum
